Education, credentials, training:
Erin holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Dakota, where she graduated in 2010. She went on to earn a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2012. Erin is also a certified member of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Hands On Experience:
After more than a decade in public school settings, Erin opened That Sounds Fun! in January 2025. Erin has always envisioned building a practice dedicated to helping children improve their speech clarity and fluency through evidence-based, engaging therapy. Creating this clinic out of her home office has allowed her to offer consistent, high-quality services for children and their families.
The School Approach
In the early years of That Sounds Fun Speech Therapy, I offered in-home services for children with speech sound disorders. As my own children have grown and my professional focus sharpened, I have transitioned away from private clients and now exclusively partner with schools. My passion remains the same--helping students become clear, confident communicators--and school contracting allows me to support districts while maintaining a schedule that aligns with my family.
I truly enjoy collaborating with other Special Education professionals, teachers and school staff. I value the teamwork between therapist, other educators, and child, understanding that this collaboration is key to long-term success. I am committed to creating personalized, compassionate therapy plans that cater to each child’s unique needs and goals, ensuring that communication skills are developed in meaningful, lasting ways across educational settings.
